I believe the Type C did have rear seats. I believe the Type C was a Type B with an auto trans.

In that picture, notice the abundance of red behind the front seats, vs everything back there being black(gray?) in the Type A.

Yes it's a very different red.

Also keep in mind, there are two diff. reds in the US. There's the 93 red, which is lighter IIRC, and the 94 red which is maroon. And the two years also differed by which interior parts were red (door panels, etc). There's a thread about it somewhere. I only knew b/c my friend has a 94 red.

jeez, so there are *3* different reds? i got some "red" covers from leatherseats.com but was somewhat disappointed with the shade of red. for 500 bucks i cant complain though.

Heath, for $500, I could do BOTH seats for ya, in the color of your choice, in the material of your choice, INSTALLED. I work w/ one of the best interior shops in the country; they do cars for Barret Jackson restoration cars and are also contracted by Ferrari. Next time gimme a hollar

Just for fun, here are some pics I took w/ my phone the last time I stopped by the shop. This is but a sample of the interesting variety they have parked out front on any given day

500 to recover BOTH seats is impossible using quality leather, including labor. if its 500 for a set of seats ill send in my FD seats, 67 volvo seats, MG seats, miata seats, AND my daily driver seats to have done! if they really charge that amount and do quality work id start packing up every seat i own today to send them in.

Heath, ok well maybe I embellished a little bit But it's not far off the mark. I wasn't thinking about leather, because quality leather is very expensive. In fact, if you're as **** as I am, you want all the leather on the SEAT to look like the same grain. So you end up with one of two choices: buying SEVERAL hides, because only a small central portion of the hide is uniform and thus "usable" to my standards, or you pay TOP DOLLAR for a single large piece of hide from the top leather source in the country. The difference in price between the two tends to be negligible when all is said and done btw.

But yea, I've had MANY a seat repaired, recovered, redone, etc. Not just customer seats, but personal seats too etc. So if you're serious, email me several pics (diff angles) of the seat(s) you'd like repaired, and I can get ya an estimate. They do top notch work, and b/c I bring 'em lots of business, they gimme great prices...

~Ramy

PS: I'm DEF. interested in seeing those Volvo & MG seats. Antique high quality stuff is right up their alley...

You mean to install rear seats? Because most JDM FD's came with rear seats, so you can buy 'em and install 'em. No custom work needed. (I sell 'em btw hehe).

If you mean how much to recover the rear seats, should be about the same...as it's relatively the same amount of material...

Gordon, that's actually a very good price for a completely useable hide!
