Difference between PFS Large Intercooler and M2/ASP Large?

Hey guys,

I was wondering what the difference between these two setups were in terms of size and quality.

I have measurements for the PFS large core, but would like measurements for the M2/ASP large.

Also, any experience with either of these to parts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks all,

-Chris

They pretty much the same, but I have the PFS large race IC and I have no issues with it at all, good quality, and makes good for power, see my sig.

What is your intake air temps in the summer? Also is the sensor in the stock location?

I'd imagine there is a difference in size, or else I am being misinformed.

I'm told you have to relocate the battery for the ASP/M2 Large, but that you don't for the PFS Intercooler.

This would lead me to believe the M2 is much larger, but I could be misinformed.

The core size on my M2/ASP is 12x17x3.5. What is it on the PFS?

You're thinking of the little red PFS stockmount. They also sold a "Race" intercooler, which looked exactly like the Pettit large, which looks exactly like the M2 large. I've never put a tape measure on it, but I'd bet it's the same, since it looks like the same duct.

at 27 lbs around 45 degree's C and yes stock location for the air temp sensor.
As far as the PFS IC, its the RACE Version SMIC, not the mid sized SMIC. You do have to relocate the battery with this one.

If you are going to stick with the twin turbos, there is really no obvious reason to go to a PFS race or an M-2 or Pettit large. In my experience the red medium PFS intercooler works well and drops right in, without the need to relocate the battery.
