Did anyone have to adjust pedal after clutch install
Just installed new ACT s/s clutch and 9.5lbs flywheel, which i love and is not hard to drive at all. But my question is it normal to have to adjust my clutch pedal? Shifting in to fifth gives the slightest gear grind (yes the pedal is all the way to the floor).

It doesn't matter what clutch you put in the car. It will almost always need an adjustment. Even a stock clutch will likely have to be adjusted. With an OEM clutch replacement, the new disc will be thicker. Wth aftermarket clutches, the measurements are typically a little different than stock.
My ACT SS clutch needed adjustment. I never was able to adjust it quite as high on the throw as I would have liked.

I have to adjust mine too i think...it engages close to the firewall making first gear a pita at times..
How do you adjust it? Inside the car at the pedal? or at the clutch end somehow? (Sorry I didnt install it...as is obvious by the totally inane questions!)

The FSM has good instructions on adjusting your clutch, but I also found this writeup by Dale Clark: http://www.clubrx.org/default.asp?id...ntent=14&mnu=5

If you go with a heavier than stock pressure plate, I HIGHLY recommend upgrading to a stainless braided clutch line. I have installed heavy pressure plates on a few FD's and FC's, and most every time the engagement point was very low - sometimes too low. You can compensate a bit by adjusting the clutch, but you REALLY need to solve the root of the problem - the stock clutch line.
The stock line swells under the increased hydraulic pressure that it takes to operate the heavier pressure plate. The swollen line means a low engagement point. Putting on a stainless line will put the engagement point where it should be. You do also need to have healthy clutch hydraulics, as the increased hydraulic load can blow by weak seals in the master or slave cylinder.
In general, you shouldn't have to adjust the clutch pedal when installing a new clutch of the same type, even if you're going from a thin worn out clutch to a thick new one. Many times people adjust the clutch pedal to compensate for a thin clutch disc, and then it has to be adjusted back. I've installed clutches in FD's where it had a VERY thin stock disc in it with the engagement point way up at the end of the clutch pedal travel. With a new disc, the engagement point went back to the right spot - dead in the middle of the clutch throw. No adjustment required.
