Dennis Marquis' Triple Turbo RX7
Green reminds me of the Incredible Hulk, Shrek, and the Heineken that I'm drinking as I'm talking to Dennis. It was after a long day after an event where the sun is setting and everything is quiet. As I'm feeling the beer (not like the 151 shots), Dennis is telling me about his plans for the next season. He set the bar and currently making plans to meet his expectations and if you know this man, he will meet or exceed his goals.
Not many racecars can take the spotlight at a car show like Dennis' RX7 that is powered by 3 rotors and a turbo for each one. In fact, the day of the shoot the crowd looked right over the custom body kits, doors, and stereos of the car show participants to gawk over this masterpiece. You can't help noticing the color of the body and how the copper colored rims accentuates it nicely. Tinwork is flawless and the Motec is in place to be programmed. The part that gets you is when the front panel comes off and you see not 1 or 2 but three huge Garett turbos. Dennis explains that there is more to come in the future.
You can expect this monster to hit the tracks in the 2004 season. If you're looking to sponsor someone next season, this is the guy to bet on. Get in early before space runs out on his mean green machine to place your logos. At the time of this shoot, he had Garrett, Mazda, G-Force, Moroso and ProMotion on board for the ride.
Dennis has already made his name famous by being one of the top competitors of the IDRC sanction. He is also a strong family man where family comes first then everything else. Luckily, 2 of his major sponsors are his son and wife.

I saw two models in there
Great. Now all we need now is for someone to finally make a P-Port 4 rotor with 4 turbos.....1500+hp?

Wow, Dennis's RX-7 has undergone a few changes since I saw it last.
Awesome car from whatever angle. Its custom 3-rotor 13B (not a 20B) is good for well over 1000hp & the top line Motec tuned to perfection by Ezio at City Performance in Sydney.
I actually remember doing the deal with Dennis back in 2000 to help him with the engine side of things.
Great to finally see him geting the car on track as its a long haul when your using your own money.
