Question Dawes or Home Depot Boost Controller?

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if I should use the home depot boost controller or the Dawes boost controller. I know i need to use the home depot one for the pre spool controller but is the Dawes really better than the Home Depot for controlling the boost?

Thanks

I have the home depot version on both. It works fine for me. The Dawes might be a little better, but for the price difference I wouldn't bother. I think the biggest advantage the Dawes device has over bleed valves is on other turbo cars(i.e. not twins). The Dawes holds all of the boost back until the preset limit is reached providing a better spool. On our cars that isn't needed, because it isn't until 3,000 rpm that the precontrol door opens up.

I heard overall the Dawes is better... Never tried it though.

I'm running the Dawes with an Intake, DP, MP, CB and get a perfect boost pattern of 12-10-12 with no spikes or boost creep as of now. Wastegate has not yet been ported.

I used to run the Home Depot valves... always worked fine for me. Careful on the tuning... when you find the sweet spot, a small turn can make a meaningful difference.
