Is there a hole/fitting for air injection, or is it just the tube with the catalyst matrix?

Sure, if you count cutting a section of midpipe out and welding the hi-flow cat section in as "stuffing it into".

Looks like a severe restriction. Will this type last with the rotorys heat?

You should take a look at OE ceramic cats, if you think this is restrictive...

I can't wait to hear more. Keep us updated. I looked into getting this as well. Do you plan to try and use the airpump with it?

This is just the catalyst. I am going to have the muffler shop weld it in and add an air line for the air pump. I would rather err on the safe side and run it with the air pump. I hope this hold up to the rotary's heat. In theory it should.

The only thing tha stinks is that it's stated as being 304 stainless. I hope the innards are 321 as it might not hold up to well to the heat otherwise. But I'm still interested to see how it works. It's not a bad price so experimenting isn't a huge deal.
