Crazy Crankcase pressure!
Im running a completely stock 13b-re with 30k miles from Japan2la. Ok so after getting my car tuned by Brian Cain of BDC I now have CRAZY crankcase pressure. At 10psi i had little issues with oil filling my catch can, bump it up to 14-17 psi and my vented catch can fills up about a pint of oil in a SINGLE straight line 3rd gear pull. So first thing i tried was venting the oil filler neck with 2 -8an lines with tubes running into the middle of the oil filler neck but i still get a ridiculous amount of oil trapped in my catch can.
i feel like all these catch can setups and what not are just bandaids for the real issue. What is the root cause of my problem? most likely side seal issue? can a bad turbo cause this issue? oil rings? anyone have any expert knowledge on this subject?
Im going to try to vent the rear oil drain and maybe the front cover(last resort).

A bad turbo bearing would cause excess oil to either go out the exhaust or into the intake.
The first may make a smoky exhaust but the plugs would look normal. The second may make a smoky exhaust but the plugs would be dirtier.
Oil can get into the blow-by tank by either hard right hand cornering, or blow-by pressure.
Since you say it does it in straight line acceleration, then you have excessive blow-by.
As mentioned, a bad PCV valve would cause turbo pressurization of the crank case. This can also blow the front cover cause.

i doubt it was my turbo, no smoke of any kind, no oil in the compressor housing or intercooler piping. and the turbo was rebuilt with less than a 1000 miles. i run a restrictor on the oil inlet on the turbo and 1/2in inner diameter oil drain tube. Brian said the my motor was one of the best running/well mannered engines that he had ever experienced while tuning.
well i ended up getting the motor rebuilt and ported by BDC, which isnt back up and running yet. so if it was blow by, hopefully the rebuild will fix that. although we did reuse the old side seals cause there was so little wear on they were still all in spec. I also got a new holset super 60 hx40 turbo this go around. so ill have a rebuilt motor and a new turbo.
i understand having some crankcase pressure, but mine was excessive.
