Cooling Fans Running BACKWARDS
I have been scatching my head over and over trying to figure out why my car runs perfect while cruising, a/c on, in 105 degree weather at 55mph but when i pull up to a light the temps CLIMB!
when i put my hand under the radiator in the nose of the bumper i feel air blowing down on it all across the radiator
- i had replaced my cooling fans with these used one a month ago...they are spinning the wrong direction i guess what do i do?
i thought it could have been my aluminum SMIC duct heatsoaking and blocking the airflow but when i realized the fans were supposed to pull through the radiator it wouldnt matter one bit correct?
so how do i make the fans spin opposite? is there a setting on the fans that I overlooking? I can't access the connectors unless i remove the i/c but can i reverse the connectors? do i need to cut and butt splice the wires (swap them)?

You GUESS they are spinning backwards or just suspect it? Are you sure they are spinning at all? If they are how did you determine they are backwards?
The only possible way it could happen is if you swapped the connectors by chance when you last messed with the fans. I wouldn't go cutting and splicing the wires at all, they are not at fault. It is something you did if they are truely running backwards.

1st of all, I relocated my battery and now have a large portion of the fan and radiator showing on the driver side of the car...with fans on I do not feel any air blowing out all i feel is rebound air blowing up in front of the fuse box and i/c duct
when i reach under the radiator underneith the car, through the nose, i feel air blowing down on my hand
do the connectors go in both the correct way and upside down?

Sorry to bump this back from the grave but I have heard rumors that running our stock fans the opposite direction even if intended(radiator relocation) would not work since they are curved in a direction to only work one way. Can anyone TRUELY confirm this? IS anyone doing it? I don't really want rumors or theories I am looking for someone that is either doing it or has tried it in the past.
I relocated my radiator and swapped the side my fans are on. Thus I would need to change the direction of the fan to make sure they are pushing the air rather then pulling it.
My setup goes bumper/IC/Radiator Fan/Radiator/engine

My problem is that my Temps rise as I drive and drop when I'm stopped. The opposite of the op. My car is set up v mount and when I reached in to see which direction the fans were moving the air, they're pushing it through the radiator instead of pulling it. What I think is happening is that while driving, it's pushing the hot air INTO THE airstream making a wall of hot air in front of the radiator that the incoming air can't dissipate causing the Temps to rise. When I'm stopped, there's nothing for the fans to push against and my Temps drop. This is just a theory of course. What I want to do is reverse the polarity of the fans so they pull air instead of push it and see if that fixes it. I assume in stock form, the fans push the air through the radiator instead of sucking it into the engine bay?

In stock form they are pulling fans, not pushing.
Haven't looked closely for a while to see if it's possible, but check to make sure the fans weren't simply installed backwards on the motors... causing them to push.
