Go with a duPont Chromalusion color shifting paint. They have a 'blue' that shifts from blue to purple to green to red depending on your angle of viewing....it is gorgeous.
Though not for everyone, I admit.

+1 for the white. I have a Montego Blue, but it won't be that color for much longer. I can't stand it.

Didn't that color come on a special edition mustang of some sort?

Please, paint it something other than white. Then mine will be even more rare

(Seriously, keep it Chaste White or if you're going to change colour, make it Pearl White).

Oh for the love of god keep it white. If you paint it any color other than chaste white, you should probably follow that up with a v8 swap then purchase of a cym 93 and then repaint it montego blue. Then you will be completely and entirely on the bad side of everyone on the forum. What i wouldnt give to have a chaste white 94.

I think that was actually a House of Kolors 'Chameleon' version...very similar.

Who here remembers RX7JOCK's car?

I vaguely remember that picture, at least I think I've seen it before, but i don't remember the owner. I like color shifting paint, but i normally don't like the colors involved, such as purple and teal green. I could go for something like the orange into gold/yellow paint schemes, or even the really dark black into slate gray, but I'll do without the teal green and purple.

TX White

White White White.... WOW

I didn't realize there were so many chaste white enthusiasts.

The car and I have bonded already. And I've bleed too much already working on her to think about letting her go just to buy another. But I'm still going to paint her. Don't worry she's going to look great!!!

The Paint.

Night - looks Dark Blue
Indirect light - Looks like a blue mettalic
Direct light - Shimmers Green

Its that kind of paint where you walk by the car and think yes thats blue and then you do a double take thinking maybe its green. Very nice.. I like it anyways, and thats what counts right....

TX Pre paint prep

Oh so here it is…
A couple days, some bloody knuckles, and some sweat = a clean engine bay. I took longer than I thought it would even though we didn’t really run into in snags. It was pretty straight forward.

We ended up taking lots of photos of the different systems before we removed them. We also collected nuts and bolts into zip-lock bags with labels. I’m hoping this will make it easier to re-install everything.

Here are some pics of the car before the taking it to the paint shop. We’ll paint the front sub frame now and the rest of the car when it’s all complete

I have to agree that the factory white is a very good color for this car. However, have you considered just adding in some pearl? Pearl white is very, very clean looking on these cars.

Good work!

I'm for keeping it white also. The white ones are rare, and lots of people think it's the best color, including myself.

If you have to paint it, I wish you'd paint it something other than what sounds exactly like Montego Blue.

I re-painted my red '93 to Chaste White so between you and I, I guess the number of white FDs isn't changing. Mine's just not original.

Seriously, you should've just bought a montego blue FD and redone the paint on that car. The white car is just drop dead gorgeous if you made it shine.

For some reason tonight, I don't feel like I"m making coherent sentences.

This would be a good time to check the engine, turbos and underpressure hoses/solenoids while the engine is out...
