clutch questions
i have just got done doing some mods on the car and i am need of a clutch for this beast so i can see how everything runs now. i can't go past about half throttle acceleration due to the slippage. What kind of clutches have you guy's used in your cars. i have heard rps, act and exedy. I am working this car on a budget and so no triple plate or anyhting like that around 500 for the clutch kit is good. my mods are power fc with commander, down pipe without cat, midpipie without cat, racing beat cat back, b&m short shifter, fuel pump and boost is up to 14. suggestions would be great.

Spec has a clutch (stage 2) thats good for like 430ft-lbs or something (its more than the ACT street/strip) but i don't think alot of people on here have used it yet. its one of the cheapest that i've found but still "seems" like i quality piece. try talking to Jason at the RX7Store.net and see what they recommend. i think i'm going to go for it myself.

Ive got the ACT street/strip clutch with the extreme pressure plate and I love it. im puting down around 340 to the wheels with no slipage.
ITs about half the throw of the stock clutch and about 25% harder.

^MrRx-send me some pics of your car/bay...PM me with email or something
I'm using ACT extreme pressure plate with a sprung 6 puck disc, it launches like a bandit and holds anything I throw at it. Single FD street tuned, so no #'s but its a street bike hunter! smokin' 600's, hanging with 750's and surprising some 1000's
