Clutch Disc Compatibility

How do you determine whether one clutch disc can be used with another pressure plate. Found out I have an Action clutch which is an exedy pressure plate with what I believe to be an Action made clutch disc 6 puck. Can I go out and buy any Exedy standard cluth disc and use it. Seems I have heard people switch disc brand with different brands of pressure plates without issue. Didn't know if disc sizes and method of engagement varied between manufacturers.

Thanks

So long as both parts were made to fit the FD, even if they are not made by teh same company, they should work together.

Yes, exedy/diakin makes most of the stock and performance clutch discs for the car (and most import cars). IF you buy a street/strip setup that's some small percentage better than stock, it's just a better PP with a stock disc...the same stock disc you can buy at autozone for about 50 bucks.
