checking solenoids

how woudl I go about checking the vacuum solenoids to amke sure they are working right?

bake them in an oven, check the resistance across the two poles

they should all say the same

I'm sure if you search you'll find a better explaination...I've never checked one, sure did get rid of a lot of them, though

dats a good question... i was going to do that when i did the simplification... but i didnt coz i didnt have the time... i know i was blowing into them to check for the flow but the technicall side is??? let me check in the manual...

hmmm... you beat me to it Jonksi.. hihi

you will need a circuit tester to do this... and do a flow test on all 3 nipples..

or you can do it my way...
hook a small piece of vac. tube to each nipple and blow through the nipple that is on the same side as the electric hookups and see where it comes out... then get a battery charger and put a 12v current through it while blowing through the same tube.... see if the air has been rerouted and also if there is any leaking through... kinda ghetto but it works!
