That's the best present I've read yet. My girl bought my Power FC for me for Christmas. I even got it early.

"Sounds" like my Pettit system W/ an M2 downpipe.
I was worried it would sound like an enraged Cuisinart blender but it sounds, as you say, Ferrari-like.
Ain't life great?!
Congrats and tell your GF she's a "sensitive" woman. WoooHooo!

I don't have a g/f but I got myself a 30 gallon compressor, impact tool set, another impact wrench that has 400-600 ft.-lbs. torque to remove that flywheel nut, of course impact sockets (deep & shallow), a new tool chest (as tall as me), more sockets and wrenches, and other various tools so I could remove my engine and work on it.

I'd say buying tools has been the best investment for me. Cars and motorcyles have not....

Jimlab, my garage is beginning to look like yours! I'll catch up to you soon!

Congrats man, great exhaust choice, that's what I'm planning on getting too.

My wife ordered me some hard intake pipes that we haven't gotten yet, and she got me leather replacment shift and ebrake boots with red stitching. Just finished putting those on with the RX8 shift **** my dad got me.

I had asked for a replacement stock ****, but he got a wild hair and got me the RX8 ****, but I have to say that once I got it on the car, I really felt differently about it, I really like it a lot.

I just 2 weeks got a compressor and impact tools as well. My xmas present to myself. Nice way to get things done more quickly not to mention the nuts and bolts I used to have to use a breaker bar with a cheater bar attached to break loose.

Section8: Did you turn the "Blank" switch in the center into a fan switch with the metal insert you have on there?

I have an extra "Fog light" switch to put in the "Blank" spot but I want to imprint a picture of a "fan" (logo, per se) and make it look OEM

Yeah, that's my fan switch. It's kind of ghetto but it works. I should have wired it to my fog switch since I removed the fog lamps, but I didn't think of that for some reason. Maybe I'll do that over the winter and buy a new blank to fill the one I put a hole in.

Let us know how it fits/turns out.

I want that same hood.

What intercooler are you running? Which intake?

I am curious to see if it will fit with the piping.

Cheers

p.s. I guess being the_saint makes me good

very kool piece. I have been wondering how the resin that is used on the hood to make it shiny holds up against ultraviolet. Almost all of the carbon fiber componsite components are UV photosensitive and prone to turning yellow over time.

I'm running the old school Greddy frount mount (look at pic). I also have a single turbo, so the intake sits pretty much up on the turbo.

Well, I was reading on the description of the hood, and it's coated with a clear coat that protects against UV rays.

Guys, I hate to tell you this but, two years ago my gf gave me a card for Christmas. In the card was the title to her black R1. At the time I wasn't sure where we were headed and I told her that while I appreciated her gesture, I couldn't accept it. Well we got married this year and unfortunately had to sell the car. The good news is that the guy who bought it painted my FD last year -did a great job as he has painted a bunch of FDs in the past. He ownes a red FD and will take good care for the black R1. Man do I wish I had kept that title!!

I could probably get one from China for about $100 US. I can't guarantee the quality of it but I can probably get one.....
