Changed spark plugs (WOW!)
Today I did my first tune up since I got the car last year, about 3k miles ago (except for oil which was changed last summer). I also changed the brake fluid to ATE Super Blue (have a trackday coming up next weekend) and diff oil (Mobil1 75W-90).
Most important thing is changing the plugs. Car ran ok with old plugs, also had no problems with starting it up either cold or warm, no problems with flooding. But I did get some hesitation at the top and some backfiring. When we pulled the plugs, they really looked bad, and to top it off, previous owner put in 8' all-round (not to mention he was buying them at around $45 a piece ). I put in 9' at trailing and 7' leading side. Then went for a test drive.
WOW !! What a difference. A whole new car (with all new fluids and sparks). It accelerates smoother, has a LOT more torque and not to mention the top end. Now it pulls at already 10psi as it did before at 13psi. I cant believe plugs made such a difference. Ok, dont flame me, I should've changed the plugs when I got the car, but previous owner stated that "they were just changed". And at next change I'll try 9's allround.
I'm going to the dyno soon, to prove my butt feel

Changing plugs made a world of difference for my FD as well. They were thoroughly destroyed when I took them out, and the top end was getting weak.
After the plug change the car drove around at low idle much smoother, acceleration was smoother, and the top end never had break up.
Should have done it a long time ago.

Yeah I'm going to do the super tune up once I get my car back and running properly. Fuel filter change, new plugs and wires, new diff fluid, new coolant, new belts, and new brake fluid. I think I may change my blinker fluid too

I dont think I will change my fuel filter that often. I changed it 3k miles ago (6months) and I wont be changing it for another 10k most likely. What I do need to change is the belts...
