Car Chemistry header inserts...

Anybody try these things.

www.carchemistry.com/ccinserts.html

Sounds like the exact thing I am looking for. I thought maybe I could put one into my cat back or weld it into the back portion of my midpipe. Who cares about hp losses... I have a midpipe cut out welded in for the track.

Anything for a little noise reduction and its cheaper than a new exhaust.

I am ordering mine today from Summit... we'll see how they work.

when I had mine it did not just "slide in"... there was some modification required. it makes it sound kinda nice (definetly quieter), but you wont get flames anymore.

I have a 3-ring in right now(well it was, I cut 2 rings off) and mine fit rather tight with no modifications, pounded it in there with a hammer but it's still loose enough to pry out with a crow bar. I use it to control boost creep and it does a good job, as for the 'muffling' it's not too bad. I have a Pettit resonated along with this and it's pretty quiet at idle and cruise, but it still gets pretty damn loud at WOT, but the noise stays outside of the car.
