Can you adjest the TPS off of the car?

I was just wondering is there was anyway to do this or do i just need to have it on the car running?

It must be on the throttle body and have power from the ecu in order to adjust it.

Does it get power from the ECU if just the running lights are on or does the whole car have to be running?

Just needs the key on. The TPS is basically just a potentiometer so it must be powered up in order to get voltage readings out of it.

Think about it , it can be adjusted with a volt ohm meter, right ,so on the kitchen table is good . There are two pots ( two ranges ) in there is you can check both .

I recently fixed my TPS problem w/ the TB off the car... it's better to test w/ it on the car... but I just had a friend with his TPS and we compared the resistance and I set mine to his... ALL FIXED!!
