Can a low charge on the A/C make you car idle bad?
when the car is running you can hear the clutch kick on and the idle will kick down! My car was just sitting at taco bell and some stranger says. " you know why your car idles like that? I said not really, and he told me it was a low charge on the air conditioning, he also said all I need is to get it recharged. Is this true???????

That stranger @ taco bell was exactly right, considering you don't have any other problems w/ idle. What happens is the ac compressor has a pressure switch that kicks it on & off. If the freon pressue gets too low the compressor will turn of to keep itself from burning up. When you reach a point where the pressure is too low the compressor will cycle and thus cause a horrible idle jumping from 1k to 200 repeatedly.
