Can ignition be causing my loss of power?!?!?!
Still trying to figure out my low dyno numbers. I have come to the subject of ignition. So here's some details.
317rwhp @ 15psi
The day I ran, I had 8.5 wires, 11.5R plugs and was running 105 octane. Those are my only 'performance' variables that relate to ignition(well and my PFC).
I was running an a/f of 11.5, so we leaned it out a little bit, only to lose 20rwhp. I thought when you lean it out a little you gain power?
I know the stock ignition has trouble dealing with higher boost, and with my COLD plugs and race fuel....would that all result in me coming up about 30-40hp short? Would an upgraded ignition make up this lost power?
