Actually... I might be wrong. Here is a picture of my air pump connector. It's grey but has a white zip tie holding it together right now.

If your connector is actually for the air pump and it is not connected then it will not work.

is it possible to cut off the broken connector, and solder the wires together? I know how to solder, but just asking if it would be safe. Im moving to California soon, and I need to prepare my car for the California smog! lol

The better way would be to de-pin the connector, buy a used connector from a cut up wiring harness, and push the pins back in the new connector. You can usually take the pin out of a connector by taking a needle and inserting it from the back of the connector and pushing a little clip up that holds the wire in. I suppose you can probably get by if you de-pin the connectors, then push just the pins together, and wrap with electrical tape.

oh actually I figured it out, I got a butt connecter, and im gonna cut the broken connector out of the circuit, and crimp the wires into the new connector. The wires became a lil too short, so I soldered a new wire to make it longer so it will work. Thanks for the help though, I will give it a try and see if I can get the air pump working again =)
