Busted HVAC ****?
Hey all just a quick question.
For some reason my temp **** for the HVAC controls went from nice and tight to entirely loose. Like I have to turn the **** halfway around for it to click once loose. Is there a spring or something back there that could be the cause of this? It just suddenly went today and its kinda pissing me off.

joy..... I just put on a set of the aluminum ***** from RP. Looks sharp, but the tint is a little pale compared to the stock amber, but still not bad. In any case that **** seems to be stuck on the post so its time to bust out the pliers and a towel.

IIRC it's an odd sized shallow nut behind the ****, like 11mm. There's a small 'tooth' that you line up in the groove, then tighten the nut.
I have a set of the RP silver *****, I plan to have them coated/anodized black before installing.

Thanks goodfella.
I have been debating on doing the same thing or at least something similar with them as they are a little on the gaudy side with just the bare aluminum, and I think it would be worth it to at least get the recessed portions coated/anodized/painted black to tone it down a little.
