Some have had problems with fitment on the illuminated Rx-8 5-speed shift ****. While others have reported absolutely no fitment problems. I haven't been able to put it on yet to say but I do know I love the weight and it fits in my first gen. As for the carbon fiber one for 10 dollars... looks like an aftermarket knockoff but it should work. Just buy the tap and die set like the other guys are saying.

 

I wouldn't exactly call it a knockoff because there is no RX-8 Type-R and there are only two shift ***** ...that i'm aware of (JDM/USDM 6-spd & UK 5-spd). That certainlt does not look like Mazdaspeed either, nor would it sell for that cheap of a price. Seems like just another scaming vender fooling people with catchy buzz words.
