There a few cars on here running past 100k. But I would start saving up for a rebuild right now. With that much mileage, your motor can blow out of no where.

I KNEW THAT BEFORE BUYING THE CAR BUT THE PRICE
WAS RIGHT...........BUT MAN IF YOU DRIVE THE CAR AND
DONT LOOK AT THE ODEMETER YOU WOULD NEVER
GUESS IT HAD THAT KIND OF MILEAGE

THIS CAR FEELS FASTER THAN MY SUPRA TT WHEN IT WAS STOCK........ I WENT SINGLE WITH MY SUPRA SO
I CANT COMPARE THEM NOW BUT THIS THING PULLS
STRONG UP TO THE RED LINE......I GUESS THE OWNER
WAS NOT LYING WHEN HE SAID THE CAR WAS BABIED

That would be difficult to gauge, however, have a compression test done. That should give you a general idea of its health.

fastcarfreak....get over yourself and look up the rest of this guy's posts. There's a good reason why this guy doesn't get much respect.

I've had absolutely ZERO problems getting answers to my questions, through help from other forum members and from searching things out on my own....using BOTH forums.

Don't turn this into another stupid forum pissing match. All you guys do over there is look for a reason to complain about this forum, like you guys get off on it or something. Honestly....who gives a crap?

There's no reason why someone can't write a post and make it readable. People are much more willing to help if they can easily read the post. If you don't like it, there's nothing saying you have to be on this forum.

I suppose you probably think that makes me as *******, oh well.

Yeah, jk, you should prob. be on the safe side and start saving money, my engine has ~104.5kmiles but my compression is down in the low 5s all around. So, for me I've already started saving cuz I know its gonna happen soon. Also, though, you might not wanna run your car hard all the time now (unless you have endless aounts of cash) because with all those miles your just reducing the life of your turbos as well (I'm assuming they're still stock). So running it hard with high miles is gonna allow you to replace the engine and the turbos, moocha dollars.

I'd do as most are recommending and start saving up for a rebuild. I have 55k with OK compression and have started my rebuild fund.

Engines usually go before 100k right? And turbos usually at around 100k, correct? I know there is no definate answer, but is that the general consensus?

Not necessarily, it completely depends on how you drive the car. If you take care of it, it'll last you for a long time, well over 100k miles. If you run it hard and dont take care of the turbos, they will last about as long as you say, proabaly a lot sooner!

i'd say keep the engine in but spend time getting a new one and street port it, so when it blows, you'll just swap them quickly and easily
