Have you guys seen the ones for sale on Ebay? I'll try to get a link for it. Also, any idea on how much a sprayer will benifit?

Tons. Liquid CO2 is really, really cold. If you're at a stop light and heat soak, just hit your button for a second before you move and, blam, no more heat soak.

ALso the tank is also ok as it is designed for CO2 and has a bust disk by the push bing and will blow instead of the tank rupturing. Co2 has an output pressure of around ~800 psi give or take a 100 psi. With the tank he uses I do belive its regulated at 800psi max if My memory servs me right.. I guess several years in NPPL with HPA you forget about co2 =]

Ohh and By the way I also designed the same thing just it was not nosolated the same way and I used a 68cu Inch tank that holds around 4lbs of CO2 vs the 18oz of a 20oz co2 tank. The tank I used also has a on/off valve so its not dependant on a pushpin style adaptor.

Eitherway Nice job and RonKmiller Don't post unless you know what the **** you're talking about. By the way quality tanks you speak of are cheap as **** you can pick up a 20oz tank for 25 dollars and would serve the purpose of a Streat race just fine or you can buy a CarbonWrapped or even a steal 68cu Inch tank for around 50-150 dollars and that would last quite some time on a track day.

P.S. I have a wholesale account with National Paintball Supplys, WarpedSports, ShockTek, & whole bunch of other paintball supply co.s
Ummm, he said he bought high pressure line for an ICE MAKER at Home Depot in his first post which is what I responded to. 3,000 psi rating? You obviously don't know **** about shinola junior. There is a big difference in hoses from working pressure and burst pressure. But you're an expert at paintball so you obviously know what you're talking about....

I've worked for the last 25 years as an FAA Certified
Airframe and Powerplant Supervisor. I have repaired, built and installed hydraulic systems on probably 25 different kinds of prop planes, helicopters and jets. I then certify them for flight. I supervise other mechanics work and then sign off on it. I don't expect him to build something to FAA airworthiness standards which would probably cost $1K. I DO expect him to spend a couple of hundred and build something he won't have to constantly worry about from an inferior component failure when the interior temperature reaches 140F on a hot day with the windows rolled up.

I'm just trying to help the guy avoid killing himself.

Actually, a system like this won a performance award at SEMA in 2002. I tried like hell to get DEi to be a sponsor of my RX7 Revolution event, but they had previous commitments.

http://www.designengineering.com/cry...ation_kit.html

I found it interesting that Vosko was worried about the C02 in the intake. DEi actually makes a coupler that sprays the air coming into the intercooler. And they have a fuel line cooler as well, all one large system. Does the C02 in the system make that big of a deal?

I have been staring this system down for months (of course now I'm thinking maybe it's too expensive, lol).

Looks good, keep us informed how your Home Depot/eBay model works out.

Hey, would it be possible to fog the outside of the UIM as well? That's the other REALLY hot portion (besides the LIM, and that thing is HOPELESS!) or the intake flow path, and it would also lower the intake temp sensor to reduce the lean condition.

The Ntercooler (or whatever it's called) can also be used with Co2 they say.

yeh watch the c02 into your intake thing.... i've seen cars lose 40rwhp on the dyno while trying to get cooler intake temps by spaying the i/c. Your setup looks pretty good though.

Im sorry that you are an ignorent ****. But that steal braded line is the exact same line that we use to fill 3,000 4,500 & 5000 psi HPA paintball tanks.

Below is Palmer Pursuit that has thier 3kpsi rated stealbraded line Im trying to get pictures of above 3k but no one has pics
http://www.palmer-pursuit.com/CATALOG/fittings.htm

I can't find no ******* pics of any of out HPA systems but either way you are an idiot and you don't know what we use. They can handle 3000+PSI

But, are we talking about RonKMiller here?

If so, I have to agree.

From what I seem to hear and see just shoot BEFORE you run to cool the intercooler and what that you you dont have the danger of is getting in the intake and still get a cooler charge.

My nephew was down in Daytona, FL for some motorcycle event. He was at a dyno challenge and saw guys with turbo bikes spraying their ICs and freezing them before the dyno run.

I assume they are spraying CO2.

I need to know the cheapest place I can buy something quick to spray my IC for a dyno contest. It's kinda of a one time deal.

Thanx,

I brought it back to life, it it's working that good post something to shut everyone up. I've been super interested in it ever since I started courting DEi to sponsor the Revolution.

So please, enlighten us...you might find you get great response (like I want one, bad lol...)

Thanks!

Im not sure if anyone has seen but summitsportcompact.com has had a system like this for a few months now it uses co2. They also have a intake and fuel bar cooler. But you can always just build one for a lot cheaper like Fujikuro.

This tubing goes in front of the intercooler, right? If so, it ruins the look of the beautiful intercooler! Couldn't something be fabricated that would run only along the top of the opening in the bumper so that it would not be seen unless someone is crouched down looking for it? I guess then that maybe the sprayer doesn't spray hard enough; therefore, not enough of the intercooler would be affected thus defeating the purpose. Am I on track?
