heres the thread link

Their are a lot of other threads that cover this, you just have to go past the first couple of pages. I have no personal experience, just relaying what I read on here. And we both know that half of the stuff on here is false anyways, so take it with a grain of salt.

Friend there is a difference between the Power FC and the Power FC Boost Controller kit. I know the Power FC works off the stock solenoids because naturally it just plugs into the stock harness and the stock harness obviously is the "highway" of the stock car.
What I am refering to is a kit Apexi sold along side with the Power FC called the Power FC Boost Controller kit. Essentially, twin solenoids from the Apexi AVC-R, a new map sensor and the whole thing plugs directly into the side of the Power FC through the 3 pronged white thingy. (Edit: https://www.rx7club.com/power-fc-forum-47/power-fc-boost-control-kit-766767/)

IMHO, as someone who have bought the boost kit and installed it, I would recommend against getting the boost kit and buy yourself a nice stand alone EBC from blitz, greddy, hks, apexi. Only thing worth getting in the boost kit is the 3bar which you can get from FDNewbie or other sources for about 1/2 the price of the kit

I think I will agree not easy finding the balance of looks and functionality.
I think I will end up going with Blitz SBC-id III Spec R.... FWIW the Apexi boost control kit would be more than 50% off retail.

I bought a used AVC-R and installed it. Not only was I able to install it myself, without screwing it up, I was able to get it setup and tuned. It works well. I'm firmly of the opinion that if I can do something, then any idiot can do something. I've been happy with it.
Also, to answer the question regarding the PFC boost control kit, it does use the same solenoid as the AVC-R.

I am just wondering after talking to a friend at a local meeting who says that the Blitz has a problem holding boost.
We were talking and if the boost controller controls the secondary turbo, the stock system still controls the primary turbo correct? So basically no boost controller can do an effective job of controlling primary boost and adding response on a sequential system?

I really liked the EBC III that I had for a while. I pulled it off a few weeks ago and am going a different route. It really was super easy to install and using it was a piece of cake. If anyone wants it, shoot me a PM.

Anyone have experience with ARK's boost controller? Very small, which i like.

What's a good controller for single turbo FD's?
I really don't want to spend over $500.00..

What I have observed, within the primary boost range I am operating--8psig to 12 psig, is that the smoothness of the transition improves with increasing primary boost and is almost imperceptable(to the **** dyno anyway) at 12 psig.
I am running BNR turbos

why not run two greddy profec b spec 2's?
I use to have a greddy e-01 in my t2 vert and that thing is a work of art. I haven't found any controller that is more versatile and adjustable. Plus the screen is easy to read and looks great!

What could possibly look better than this
I didn't want something as huge as the e-01 plus with the possibility of EZ writer down the road it has more stuff then I would want to do ever...

So my mechanic says I need a boost controller. This I knew. However, I am looking to have as few wires and interfaces as possible in the car. I am thinking about the boost kit for the Power FC as well. Does anyone know the functionality of the boost kit versus the standalone? Also, does anyone know a good place to get just the boost kit at a great price?

I saw the white and yellow but not green. I have a friend doing an amber display on his Commander, hopefully if it works out for him I could get in on that i think it would be the best.

How do you go about setting a manual boost controller (like the Halman prokit rx) to stay at 10PSI... if you don't have a boost gauge? Just curious
And correct me if I'm wrong, but a boost controller is only needed if you want to go higher psi? If you want to stay at the stock 10PSI, then you won't need a boost controller correct? And a boost controller also won't do much to help with creep/overboosting?
