Boost Controller, what's best for 99'spec twins
Hey Guys,
Sorry 'bout postin' another thread about boost controllers, but I tried a search and came back empty handed.
So my Question is, What is the best boost controller on the market today for the '99spec twins on the FD? My plans are for low boost about 12-16 psi and lately I've been finding that with my set-up, without a controller, at WOT the primary turbine is having trouble keeping boost at 10psi, fluctuating up and down from 10 - 12 until the secondary comes online at which point boost creep starts.
Also to that extent, I was hoping a boost controller would help control the problem a little or fully, and was hoping that a didn't need to port the waste-gate to cure this.
Any help, info will be appreciated.
Cost wise I was planning for a Greddy Profec B spec 2 but I was hoping someone out there has more feedback on their personal accounts with boost controllers.
Thanks guys,

If your problem is boost creep, a boost controller will never solve your problem.
Boost creep is caused by too much restriction at the wastegate. Either add restriction to your exhaust or open the wastegate.
When you install the boost controller you may find that creep stops happening at the higher boost settings. I wouldn't consider it a fix, since you should still watch your boost in cooler weather, but if you're at 10psi now it could get better, and you'll have more cushion until you get the opportunity to port your wastegate.

Yea I figured I had too much flow in my exhaust system... Okay, thanks for the input guys. Let's keep this thread going so more people can find it useful.

I don't have any trouble with creep on '99's, and I don't run a boost controler (other than PFC). You really shouldn't have too much, like you do with OE's. Get a Profec B if you're not satisfied.
12-15 psi is fine, but 15 is about the pump gas limitation... I'm running 1300 secondaries, and a Supra pump.
