The fact is BNRs are designed for more boost safely...for me i wouldnt buy them unless i can utilize them.

anyways, it doesnt take much to beat those cars with an fd.
as far as the high numbers goes. david garfinkle is beginning tuning HIMSELF very soon. he JUST got his new, uncrappified aem box installed and should be ready to go. . . . i gotta get in the car with him so we can both get up to date on the tuning learning curve. well be tuning (both mine and his) to the extent of what the fuel injection can handle. . . staying safe of course. . . and THEN well hit the dyno and find out the numbers.
you can rest easily knowing that ill be posting his results as soon as its all done. . . and im no jerk so they wont be fake. . . i can say this, however, the new stage 3s are simply amazing. they spool up faster than a ***** could ever run out of a church and the power is stupifying. im VERY impressed with these twins. davids exhaust manifold has some extensive modification done to it and his compressor housings are larger so the results may vary. . . im sure theyll be nothing less than impressive, though.

I baby the car but do run it sometimes. A couple of us run these maps and I mean one guy beats the hell out of his ride. He replaced the turbos with some BNR's after 118,000 miles but it was because of manifold cracks.

plug in a blind map without checking afrs and you may be switching that motor and turbos out a little faster than you want.
the majority of peeps trying to run more than fifteen psi do not have the proper mods to do it...****...half the peeps on this site attempting to push boost dont even have a midpipe or a good ic. much of the problem is there. you will crack up your manifold prematurly running high boost...you will also put heat stress on your fragile motors. facts r facts. running that high of boost on stock twins produces tons of heat and also shortens the life of both your motor and your turbos....no matter what tt tries to spin you.

Secondly, same with the Cobra. He isn't making 500 rwhp with just a pulley as you stated. You say one thing and then change the parameters.

Hey Heath........those dyno sheets look fake......lets see the REAL numbers... ..jk
It was nice meeting you saturday and congratulations on your new tune. I hope everything continues to work out well for you.

About the speed thing....
The FD will always be semi competitive, even though cars are totally getting faster.
Reason being the power to weight ratio. End of story.
These guys that are making the kind of power to bitch slap a high power FD have cars that usually need constant maintence, and they do not usually drive them everyday.
11 second cars on the road are rare.........no matter how many little biatches talk smack. 12 second cars are a little more common, but you a high 300's rwhp or above FD will totally compete with that.
You're never going to be the fastest guy. Impossible. But, you can be the guy that drives his car everyday, and still slays 90% of what you come across. Let alone that the amount of people that street race that actually know how to drive their car reside in a small percentile.
I can't speak for the west coast, and I know there are absolutely more rediculous rides out there, but I street raced(as gay as it is) for 3 solid years in a 275rwhp fd, and never lost. That is mind blowing. Street racing is so much reputation and talk. The rediculous cars run right for a few weeks(if that), and you don't see them again.
Just read the SCC super challenge, or whatever they call it. You see the real deal with high power machines.
What the hell good is a car that slays everything, but you can't drive it all the time.
The FD will stand the test of time. Listen to the people here that have the 350rwhp and above cars. They're telling the truth. They don't often lose.
BTW
Amazing numbers. Your car must be crazy fast.

Heath, GREAT NUMBERS man!!! I know your about as happy as can be.
Guys, just wanted to point something out, the 14.5-15psi was on his gauge. The PFC reads substantially lower so if your comparing make sure to compare the correct data. A lot of people post the boost that the pfc shows.
I dont think I know anyone thats made those numbers at such a low boost on twins. Especially with such a low amount of tuning.
John D had countless hours of tuning and a external wg, along with many blown up sets of twins.
BTW - Somoene else dynoed them last night and will be posting thier results today. I'm not going to let the cat out of the bag though cause its not my car. I'll let him post his numbers, all I'm going to say is that he's definatly happy with them!!!

Nice numbers. I'm sure you're loving the nice torque curve.

I run the omp but I put just a touch of premix in too.
I hate counting beans but if you insist, I've got 25K in my car (not counting the cost of the car). Not all of it was go fast goodies. I overdid everything (I hope). When the new engine went in so did a new wiring harness and anything else that we could think to do at the time. I even re-replaced the clutch. I might have had 1500 miles on the ACT S/S clutch when she popped. I opted for a Spec clutch to make sure it could handle anything I threw at it. Quality and reliability, no matter the cost.
