BNR Stage 3's + Steve Kan = DYNO SHEET!!!

It's nice to see someone with restraint. Personally, after spending my life savings in the engine bay I explained to Steve that I wanted the most out of my setup as possible even though the car is my daily driver. Maybe that's the difference between paying someone to do all the work in your engine bay and piecing together all of it month after month. I was very confident in every part and bolt that was put on there.
too bad you couldn't get the boost controll right as well. I guess a big engine port and the high flowing twins with small wastegate will do that.
any way congradualtions 375rwhp on the street is very fast. You'll run high 11s with a just decent launch at the track.
Did Bryan dyno his 3d gen with 62-1 turbo? I'd like to know how much hp he made at what boost if you can find out please!

What in the hell is wrong with a twin turbo motor that safely puts out 375 HP? Agentspeed's got the right idea. I would stick with the sequentials myself but the BNRs look like a winner. At 15PSI they ought to be "overbuilt" and last a long time.
Surgemonster, he will run better than "high 11s". I run high 11s with 335HP.

That's just me being real, but I'm def. not pressing him for anything more than he's already done. Ppl put so much time and effort into their setup, they wanna just relax and enjoy it for more than a day. I totally understand that, and will prob be just like that. I hope it proves very reliable and enjoyable to him for a LONG time

Congrats on the numbers It's your car, so you run it any way you want.
All being well my car will be running (hopefully for more than 20 miles this time ) around the end of February, so I'll see what numbers I can get out of the BNRs at a somewhat higher boost level (lack of self restraint )

SurgeMonster, get your facts straight before you make stupid comments.
I've got other more important things in my life than a car. I bought the car as a fun weekend toy. Sure I spend a lot of money on it and do most of the work myself but it is still just a hobby. One of many that I have...

Most of those BNR guys are running 15s, and with extensively ported motor, "mucho overlap" and what not, and, under 400 rwhp. Buy a single and cut the crap...

Agentspeed, great results, similar to what I expected. I plan on dynoing at 19 psi as soon as the weather here in NJ clears up. With JD tuning I have no worries on pushing the envelope......I want to see what these turbos will really put out with a fresh strong motor and all the accompanying required mods.
As soon as you get some quantifiable acceleration results (datalogs of street pulls, drag traps/et's etc) please post them up
[Edit: this post has been cripsr6 approved. thank you.]

Waydda go AgentSpeed!
Your mod path and strategy are pretty much in line with what I am considering myself.
Good for you for not pushing your setup to its very limit and for being happy with a compromise.
Sheesh, with the stock setup you could pass almost any car on the road at will, imagine what it'll be like now?
I can imagine the joy you'll have driving this thing without the black cloud of reliability ******* your every shift. And who really cares about 0-60 times when you can punch the throttle at an apex and rocket out of the corner hanging on for dear life! You're gonna have a LOT of fun.

There's too many people on here that seem to equate having the highest PEAK numbers as a more enjoyable car to drive. Yeah, I've seen quite a few 500 rwhp dyno sheets -- no ******* thank you. Gaining 200+ lb-ft of torque over 300 rpm is not useful in any kind of normal or track driving. It's useful in a straight line at high speeds and that's about it.
Hitting these kinds of rwhp numbers in a fairly reliable setup with a controllable onset of power and a broad power band makes for a more fun car to drive in ALL situations -- not just highway pulls from 90 mph.....

Now if he makes 400rwhp plus at 18psi i think that makes some sense and may drop the coin for a set myself. i think it is pretty obvious he will.
Agent speed ..are u set up parrallel (sp?)

The fact is BNRs are designed for more boost safely...for me i wouldnt buy them unless i can utilize them.

Well this is day number two with the tune. I'm still happy. The roads are still a little wet and the soon to be wife is with me so I can't really get on it... But the driveability is soooooo nice. I'm so glad I went this route. I'd have done it the same way if I could do it over again.
Oh and I don't race much on the street and I've never been on a drag strip so I can't shed any light on those subjects. Also I've only been on the dyno twice; Popped the motor the first time and the second wasn't over fast enough. It was quick too, only 8 pulls I think and then he did the driveability checks. My other bastard map was pretty close.
I don't care about racing a vette or a cobra, all I care about is enjoying the drive. Maybe the old muscle car I'm about to buy to building up I'll care more about straight line power...

There was a guy down there that was running the stage 3's seq but the last I heard he had a vacuum leak and it was causing a bad surge. He was going to get on the dyno again this morning if he could fix the problem. I haven't heard so maybe he'll post when he gets back in town.

no such thing as a reliable 19psi.

those are the only options for that kind of boost "reliably" lol

i dont think "reliably" is the word I would use.
its like putting a diaper on a little kid after feeding him about two pounds of prunes (near 400rwhp)...it may give you some thought of comfort knowing it wont crap on the floor but either way you will be wiping up after it eventually.
