Actually, the stock 5 speed gear is 4.10, the autos were 3.90... If you are still interested I do have them though. Just collecting dust so I will sell pretty cheap.

Vosko,
How much was that RE diff? Is it smooth, just curious, I love the strength of my KAAZ but I am getting a headache from the clutch chatter when I turn slowly!

i just really lucked out my mechanic judge ito knew someone that had a brand new one sitting around so i got it that way. i'd assume $1500 for it if you want one from like JT-Imports. its very quiet. no noise issues. i had a 4 puck clutch in the car and broke my ppf so i had clunks but i'm 98% sure they weren't from the diff. i love it. my stock diff was actually annhilated on the street. didn't even make one run on the track.... haha

anyone who plans on drag racing with 400RWHP+
you will probably break the following

diff
axles
ppf
tranny

i know i did and boy is it expensive to fix LOL

Thanks Vosko,
I like the KAAZ but sometimes I wish it was a little more tame for normal driving. I too have a 4 puck clutch, but the chattering(clunk) is definitely from the diff, nature of the clutch diffs.

its actually rare that i drive my car and a driveline component isn't broken now

only two forum members have been in my car before and they don't post much but they could give you unbiased opinions.

personally i am not that fast i could run maybe a 3-4 minute quarter mile. oh you mean my car. yeah my car is pretty fast. still needs some more stuff,it never ends

if you wanna see some hires pictures i have some pretty nifty ones my friends took one of them being that avatar way bigger. some from the last time i was racing. a couple from when ihor and went on a cruise on the highway. just let me know

Stephen,

Looks good! I know you are worried about your rear end and people are talking replacement of LSD, but remember Kazz LSD needs lots of maintence and is not quiet. I just know you daily drive your car .... there are other options.

Yea, I know thats something I'm worried about. I do daily drive my car and I REALLY want it to be nice and smooth.

What are the other options?

3.90 comes in an auto FD, 4.10 comes in a 5 speed. Nice to see you have supporters on the forum, Stephen. With this much power I think it's time to save for a KAAZ. I just PM'd RTS3GEN about his rear-end he's offering you for free - turns out that's all I need to make real hp - oh well, I'll live with 300 rwhp until I get a supporter or 2 - I really want to see what these things will do at 16 psi sequentially

By the way, sweet mph!!! That's good for a 10.9 or so.

Thanks guys, if you could have only seen how slow I drug it out of the hole lol

I was astonished it was so good with me being SO easy on the car. I figured driving like I did I'd be lucky to hit 120's. Of course I wasnt really sure what to expect anyway.

Anyway, just though I'd share the results with everyone!!!!

I know it sounds funky but .... you get the picture. Anyway that is easily 11.2 or better mph. I ran a best of 116.77 mph on et streets at 11.77sec. NICE!!!!!

Rolling resistance is the culprit ! Big power robber and mph killer whether you are into drag or top speed runs

What you gain in launch hence intial speed increase is washed away maybe to the point that your final MPH will be either equal or lower than waht you did with less rolling resistance, thats the theory any way, you gotta strike a balance between traction and power sapping tire losses.

SPOautos, man that is fully awsome and you should be proud Mate I believed in you !....for your records a Ferrari F40 with a 470bhp engine running at 1100kg weight pulled 127mph and a time of 12.23 odd seconds at an Australian drag meet many years ago on street tires. So the numbers make sence to me when you consider that car has 345 wide rubber rear mount engine box and the guy obviously was not worried about his "launch".

if you set that car up for drags and remove some "extra weight", it will do a 10 EASILY or I will chop of my nuts

Bryan, you should use this as your slogan for your new twins

Does anyone have any practical experience with the Kaaz diff? I've heard that as long as you change the fluid frequently and do the proper break-in (figure eights for however long in both directions), that there shouldn't be too much chatter.

thanks,
kyle

I think I can get 10's with a new rear end to romp on.

Driving hard and actually launching the car the mph is going to pick up some more. I think I can get 127 out of them in the current tune with a hard sticky launch, showing up at the track with 5 gallons of gas instead of a totally full tank, and leaving my sub at home lol

A 127 should drop me into the 10's if I hook up.

We'll see, I'll need a new rear end before doing any ErnieT style launches lol. I usually run 1.8x 60 foot times but that was before I had over 400rwhp and I wasnt worried about busting the rear end HaHa

STEPHEN
