THE BNR"s HIT THE TRACK TONIGHT!!!!!!

Hey guys, I've got a time slip that backs up my dyno and then some lol. I'm running 18psi, everyone knows my mods by now. I've got the BNR stage 3's as everyone knows or should know by now lol

Here is the deal, I am scared to death of busting the stock rear end so I was granny driving like I pulled from a red light or something. I'm running a totally full tank of gas, a sub, spare tire/jack, ect ect ect which together adds 150lbs. My goal was to take it down the track just like I drive it on the street in exact street trim. The only thing I changed was I threw on the BFG drag radials but I didnt burn the out. They are fairly sticky with no burn, I didnt want them to stick much cause it'll snap my rear. I was basically just looking for mph not ET.

With a hard launch, less fuel in the tank, no sub and extra crap it would prob add another 3 mph!!!!!

Ok, so here is the slip..............

Ok something is wrong, I'm trying to attach it, the pic is small enough that it should be fine. Untill I get it worked out here is the numbers.....

Of course dont look at the ET as it sucks cause of traction and my baby'n the car.

1/8 - 98.25mph 8.2ET
1/4 - 124.93mph 12.3ET

After pulling the 150lbs of not needed weight like extra fuel and running ET streets and launching hard it'll be around 127!!!!!

I HAVENT TOUCHED MY TUNING SINCE THE DYNO. I SHOULD GET ANOTHER 20rwhp FROM TUNING. THATS GOING TO BE PUSHING SOME SERIOUS MPH!!!

ALL ON PUMP!!!!

Well, I'm so freakn excited!!!! I cant believe driving the way I did that I pulled a 125!!!!!

The prob was imaging converted the pic to a TIFF and you cant upload though in a post for some reason.

SO, I just emailed it to Felix Wankle and he's going to pull it up in Photoshop and convert it to Jpeg or something we can use the post it up.

Souldnt take long

Damn, this is awsome....I'm not sure some of you guys know how fast a 125 trap is...especially for a full tank of gas, driving like Miss Daisy, and stilling giving up about 20 safe rwhp in the tuning!!!!

Steph, that mph is AWESOME, but don't get too excited I lost 3 mph when I went to ET Streets, you will too most likely. Ari from RP warned me and I didnt' believe him, but you'll get traction sooner and the tires will be able to spin at the proper rpm all the way down the track, unlike less sticky tires which are allowed too spin faster and then catch. I know it sounds funky but .... you get the picture. Anyway that is easily 11.2 or better mph. I ran a best of 116.77 mph on et streets at 11.77sec. NICE!!!!!

Hey what size are ET streets do you know?

I was running my BFG's which have a tall sidewall. I think they are something like 255/60 or something wierd like that. Its the only size that fits the stock wheels and they have a real tall side wall. I dont think they are quite as tall as ET streets, but they prob arent far from it

I agree that is a big jump, but you can gain a few mph but higher ET with street tires.

I just got off the phone with Steve Kan (I'm keeping him up to date on my progress) and he said when he switches from BFG's to ET streets he doesnt loose any mph. He said most of the time he actually gains cause he can launch much harder.

He said my 125 should gain at least a mph with a hard launch even with ET streets. He said you might loose a little going from a normal sized street tire but I guess you dont loose from BFG's cause they already have a tall sidewall.

Steph,
They are 26X11.5 so they are considerably taller, but since the sidewall flexes ALOT more than drag radials, you will launch harder(THAT IS A BLAST, especially with the power you're making now) but this will lower your gearing a tad. Do you have a 4.10 gear or have you gone to 4.3 or higher? Also, go tomorrow night to the track and launch hard, I have a spare stock torsen in my garage begging for a new home, I wanna see someone run 10's on twins!!!! I'll send it to you for FREE and hell I'll even pay shipping!!! You know, I'll have to get a set of those turbos now too!!!!Oh, yeah, I guess I'll have to get a Power FC first. Damn untunable Pettit box!!

But seriously, I have a spare diff, I'll give it to you if you blow yours in the near future and can't scrounge up the dough for a KAAZ!

Could also be that I'm not making enough power to hit those types of trap speed, perhaps that is the difference, but when Ari told me to expect that I was dissapointed when he was right! No biggie, I am anxiously following your progress too! Keep it coming!

Damn, man thats awsome of you!!!! I might just have to take you up on that!!! It does make it more tempting to know I have someone backing me up with a good stock rear incase I snap mine...which I prob will lol

I might be able to make one nice strog pass with a good burn out and all that. They wont be open till next weekend. Maybe I'll go next weekend and give it a beating to see what happens LOL

Thanks a ton man!!!!

No sweat, I have actually 2 whole assembly's and 2 stock diffs, 3 sets of 4.10 gears and a 3.90 sitting around, so you let me know if you need one, I'll send it to ya.. BTW, is your PPF upgraded? This was the first thing I broke with my ET Streets, the stock diff held for 3 1.7 60' launches, but the PPF let go on the second one! I just went with the mazdaspeed one, I believe that is what Kan is running too, and he hasn't had any problems that I am aware of. SO, you go right ahead and blow the HELL outta that difff, I got yo back! I WANNA SEE 10's with Twins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now go out young man and make me PROUD!
