Best place to tap for oil pressure sensor
I've just purchased a Defi D oil pressure gauge and was wondering what the best place was to tap for the sensor.
I'd heard that many FD owners use the Greddy oil block adapter (or equivalent) for temp and pressure, but most say that this makes changing the oil filter nearly unmanageable (i.e. removing TPS, UIM etc.). I'd rather not install a filter relocation kit.

I have a replacement pedestal amde from billet aluminum, that is a direct replacement for the OE pedestal. It the same height, but has two NPT ports, bung for the oil cooler line, and a deeper resivoir to oil does not spill everywere. So removing the oil filter is the same as stock, or you can just replace the OE sensor.
Here is a pic of the kit.

I have the Greddy oil adapter. There definitely is less room, but changing your filter is still very doable w/o undoing/taking off anything. But you do need to be careful not to move the TPS. You'll notice if you do, however, since your idle will be off. All in all, it's not as bad as it sounds

Shorter oil filter
For those using the Greddy oil block adapter, is there perhaps a shorter or somewhat smaller oil filter that can replace the OEM?

You can drill/tap the banjo bolt for the rear oil cooler line. Clean, simple, and works very well.

I grabbed one of these during the GB:

IMO, a much better solution than tapping the banjo bolt. It's just plug and play and doesn't add extra height like the GReddy addon.

Just tap the banjo bolt the retain the oil line on the oil filter stack and place the sending unit there.
