Battery relocation and Drag racing Tech rules??

I am considering relocating the battery and liked the idea of it being under the passenger bin. My question was does anyone have trouble passing a tech inspection for drag racing? I didnt know if they would black flag you for not having it mounted upright in the trunk or something like that and I dont wanna find out the hard way! Just curious if anyone has experienced any problems........and I did SEARCH for a while!

Thanks
frank

If your local track follows the NHRA rule book you won't be able to run without a battery cut-off switch somewhere on the back of the car and the battery being in a sealed box vented to the outside of the car.

look on summit racing get a batt box and use that as long as it is in the box and held down with something other then bungee cords you will be ok. Plan on cutting the bin and molding the box to it. that’s what I'm doing with my LS1 swap cause I need to room for the swap.
