baseline dyno results for me just so you can compare
so the local advanced auto was doin a car show figured id stop by with my roomate check out some slow musterdstains and the like. well turns out they
rented a dyno for the day 3 free dyno pulls till 5pm. sounded like the perfect opertunity to get some baseline dyno info before i start some major mods. so
first up my roomate in his lexus sc300 1j swap, unfortunatly his car was too low and his muffler hit the dyno pushing it into the driveshaft so no dyno for him oh
well. next i was up and this is my pinks moment where no mater how much your ready for something **** will go wrong, my intercooler pipe blew didnt see it till i
was on the dyno hood popped being strapped down. damn what to do....my buddy who had just dynoed his GTO 311whp btw supposed to be 405ish just
happened to have some packing tape so there i was wrapping packing tap around this cut coupler going into the dyno(this plays into the graphs). well hell
only need one good pull right???? lol first pull good holding 11 psi till about 5400rpm tape blew held 10 till let out didnt really get to take it to redline. well hey
had 10psi last run why not run one more well only held 8psi till edline this tme because of the gapping hole in the coupler oh well got a descent baseline for
free. kinda just posting this for others to compair if they want.
SPECS AS FOLLOWS

that first dyno is scewed as my intercooler coupler blew thats why the numbers arent right. the second dyno would be more acurate as far as HP in relation to tourqe but lower as that run was only at 8 psi but it didnt have a coupler blow half way through the run so it mantained its curve.

As to the torque being higher than the hp, its very simple to understand. I personally seldom talk about hp, since its a second order derivative of torque. The graph shows the peak torque just below 5000 rpm. Since (simple version) horsepower equals torque times rpm divided by 5250 and torque never hit 240 above 5200 and kept falling such that the product of the equation is always below 247, the torque peak below 5250 is the high number. You can do the math picking rough numbers off his dyno graph and see what I mean for those of you who haven't looked at it this way.
Shoulda used a concoction of JBWeld and Duct Tape on that leak would hold the world x2 together!!
