The TII's had it in the LIM. Not sure where the NA's had them.
Think mazda had a recall on that too......
From what I understand it was to help build compression and only opertates when it is below zero.

Just picked mine up, new silver paint and shaved emblems/anttene. People are always asking what it is. I love replying "dodge diaper" and they're like "whoa! I didn't know vipers looked so good!" and my personal favorite "miata"

I was driving along one evening doing the speed limit and this honda full of guys pulls along side of me and one of them pulls out a digital camcorder and starts taping me, my 93 has also been called a vette, a viper, and a ferarri several times. Mazda has changed their emblem so much that even I'm guessing!

Oh yeah, some think it's new! So I tell them that it's the RX-8. Imagine how dissappointed they are when they get to the Mazda dealer to buy one.

My latest story is this past tuesday we head out to the races our usual spot , and its 3 FD's; 2 93s and 1 94, one 93 with JDM Painted Circle Lights. We roll out, all 3 (with the rest of my group) we past by the ricers (Honduh) section and its like call the medics because we just broke necks =P. The best thing Ive ever seen, I was the 3rd car so I REALLY got to see it. Oh yea for all you haters, all 3 of us are 19 +P.

my car is in the process of being painted from silver to black so the car is black the front bumper is primer back bumper is silver the car has no side window moldings on or side mirrors or side markes and almost no interior and people still say they like the car when i stop at intersections or when i park the 7.

I had a '95 320i. So i told a co-worker of mine i was selling it to buy a mazda just to get his reaction. He said he can't believe i'm selling my BMW for a mazda. He has a '96 inspire. Just say honda and he comes on hinself. thats how much he loves honda. when he finally saw the FD he was like holy s@#t, holy s@#t!!!
There is another co-worker owning a '92 inspire who's always picking a race whenever i'm in my toyota levin (SR5 in the US). now he does not want to race against me after seeing that my FD's speedometer gauge indicates 180MPH and not KPH. everytime we meet at work he just goes on and on with compliments...now i feel sorry for the guy. I won't race with him though...its not right. he he he !!!

I have people come over to my house all the time and stare at my hacked up dusty dented 93 that is missing 4000 critical parts and probably won't run for another 9 months... and they stare in awe at this heap on jackstands and tell me it's the most beautiful car they've ever seen... but then again, late at night, when no one is awake, I go out in the garage and climb in the driver's seat and make rotary revving and turbo swoosh noises and pretend it's all back together again and I'm driving - just like I did when I was 6
