AVCR do I still need factory wastegate solenoid
#2
wastegate controler and turbo pre controller valve should be caped.
This is for HKS but it's the same for AVCR just change OUT to COM and IN to NO
'T' the Precontrol & WG actuator ports to the COM port on solenoid.

Thanks guys, I will have to double check the manual and my current vac routing, but it appears I can go with V2. Can this be done with the OEM ecu? I only ask because I need to put the emissions crap back on... and I am going to swap the OEM ecu back in, I assume just like removing the emission solenoids I need to place resistors on the plugs?
Its just temporary but I figure while I am in there might as well add any resistors needed and remove the solenoids that are not needed.

You can take the WQ solenoid and prespool solenoid out once you get the AVCR in mine were capped off tell i get around to pulling them out.

V2 is how i had mine setup when i was sequential. I had mine setup that way on a pettit ecu, pretty much the same as OEM but with a different fuel map. I put capes on everything but really if there isn't air moving in them all your doing is keeping drit out of them.

I just realized when I was reading my Service highlights manual about the prespool, won't I have to remove the prespool valve? or will it always remain open? If it does remain open it would kinda be a half non-sequential?? I know the AVCR will not control the prespool... IDK I would have to look at the Serivce Highlights again, but I should be correct....

Pre-Control Solenoid - yes take it off, or just cap off the vacuum nipples
Pre-Control Actuator - no, you still need that
Charge Relief Valve - no, you still need that
Charge Control Actuator - no, you still need that
The actual EVC installation instructions that Force13b posted up is the same as Version 2 in the diagram I posted up. As you can see, the electronic boost controller will be controlliing both the wastegate actuator as well as the pre-control actuator. Can't explain exactly why it works correctly that way, but apparently it does, and even HKS instructs us to install it that way. Also, the reason why you don't need the Pre-Control Solenoid (or the Wastegate Solenoid for that matter) anymore is because the electronic boost controller will be doing the job of both of those.

Not too sure what you mean by the prespool valve, but if you are talking about the:
Pre-Control Solenoid - yes take it off, or just cap off the vacuum nipples
Pre-Control Actuator - no, you still need that
Charge Relief Valve - no, you still need that
Charge Control Actuator - no, you still need that

Thanks you helped me clear things up, In mind I had the pre-control and charge control solenoids as one in the same, I forgot the chrge control is on the vac rack.
I called Apexi and they said I can remove those, it does not say anything in the installation manual, but if it works for the HKS and Greddy, I am sure it will for the Apex, if not I will just have to reinstall it.
I assume if I am going to place the OEM ecu back in temporarily I need to place resistors in those wire ends? And the same as I would for the vac rack solenoids?
