AVC-R vacuum hose questions

Ok, I've checked on Rob Robinette's old site, and Steve Cirian's site, and even searched on here, and I've only gotten more confused...

Can I completely remove the factory wastegate and precontrol solenoids? Or do they need to stay in and connected to the vacuum system somehow?

If you guys need more explanation of what I'm asking, I'll try and clear things up better after a good night's sleep.

Thanks!

John

Trying to clean up the mess of vacuum hoses under my UIM would be nice to have two lines instead of 4... hey, any little bit helps.

I'm just trying to figure out the instructions really... all any of the sources I've seen say to leave them there, but yet the AVC-R manual says to plug them... why leave them if they aren't doing anything? other than taking up a pwm on my haltech?

You can remove them. Plug the vent hoses on the actuators (the ones that are plumbed to the solenoids).
