not sure if it matters. i ran the in on top and the out on the bottom... /shrug nothing was marked in the packaging or on the unit itself so I just did it that way.
My radiator was a one-off radiator that I picked up from a local Socal Garage (lucky7racing). In total this whole setup cost me about 200.00.

glad to see im not the only one out there modifying a auto fd lol Well im single turbo, 3" turbo back exhaust, PFC, 1600cc secondaries-rx7store rail- and fuel lab preasure regulater (as of today), shift kit, larger intercooler, hks bov, PTS trans computer soon to be hooked up. And she is my daily driver. Once its tuned ill post the #'s and pics.

stock auto trannies won't hold up to much abuse. It's the same tranny as from the MPV minivan IIRC. Level ten isn't the bullet proof tranny they say it is either. I had a level 10 TC and had it rebuilt with level ten's rebuild kit. I ran it behind a single turbo for a while and I never had a hiccup. However, the guy I sold it to, KOA here on the forum said it blew up on him at the track. FYI I think the best course would be to secure your self a spare tranny. Have it rebuilt at your local transmission shop and discuss your options for high quality gaskets, clutches and bands, and possibly valvebody work, modifying the TC for a higher stall (it's pretty high already) etc. If you do the R&R yourself I think you'll save a ton of money. You could then run the stocker until it blows and swap in your beefed up one. Have the stocker rebuilt as another spare, or don't. Run synthetic ATF. Upgrade the tranny cooler. Have a drain plug put in the tranny pan so you can change the ATF. Get a 4.10 or higher rear end if you want to sacrifice some top end for quickness.
I think the real killer has been problems with lockup causing increased heat when running a standalone. Banzai's product should take care of this. I actually proposed the idea of a passthrough connector years and years ago, but didn't have the know how to pull it off and no one else was interested. I had the 5 speed swap done, and I love it, but if this product had been around then. Who knows?
