Auto and 5 speed Harness Question

Where does this circular black harness plug into? Or does it plug into anything?

IIRC those are both attached to the back side of the water neck, the round one is the lower one.

Basically, the entire 5speed harness is the same as the Auto harness except when the harness enters the firewall where the immediate top white harness connector (to speedometer) is different and the large blue connector (to the relay of the car?) also differs...? Are all the harness connector in the engine bay the same or will there be a connector or two that will not connect?
