Anyone want a free engine rebuild/porting?
#27
Just out of curosity - does no one want to rebuild their own engines? is it a matter of time or lack of knowledge. I am looking to buy a 3rd gen with a blown engine just so I can rip it down in the garage and rebuild it. - P'Cola, this is nothing against you I am just trying to find out if people think its too hard or rather if its too time consuming...

I think some people lack the tools, time, and confidence to do it themselves. It's not that big a deal, but some people don't even know how to change their own oil.

Depends on what you need, go to rotaryaviation.com for good priced rebuild kits. You may not need all the new parts, though. I can take apart your engine, and index everything to see what you need/don't need, and get you to buy the appropriate parts. Keep in mind also that your rotor housings may need replacing.
