Using "unflood" in a "titles only" search.

Where are you located, New Orleans?

I imagine you just open the doors & let the water flow out.

Yea.............Yea..........Yea..........I know it was bad taste, but it's still funny.

Unflooding a 3rd gen has been covered since B.C.

I could have been a dick & said .....................SEARCH.

step 1: pull fuel pump fuse

step 2: crank until it starts (10 seconds at a time with starter rest time in between)

step 3: let it run itself out of gas

step 4: install fuel pump fuse back

done (unless you have other issues and it keeps flodding)

You can also put a few squirts of ATF into the housings to help evap all the fuel.

Yep low compression and a weak spark will cause flooding.

^^ This method in itself may not work, in which case you'd have to pull the spark plugs out, and clean them off. Crank the engine a few times without the plugs in to get some fuel out *hold a cloth to prevent mess*, then put your plugs back in and crank it over a few times until it starts.

Good idea to make sure your battery has enough charge for the process as well, just to be sure its not another potential source of error.

Pushing starting has been the fastest way for me in the past. Worked every single time.

It never fails...and sure as hell beats pulling all the plugs when your hands are as big as mine Def. MUCH quicker too!

This shop basically lifted up my motor from the bottom to put new motor mounts on, paying no attention to any of the wires hoses ect. Returned car to me running very rough I found map sencor disconnected. Car stalled on warm up becasue of map sencor disconnected. I think its flooded now because it was only on 10 seconds before it stalled.
