the performance might go down over the stock catback only if you dont adjust fuel and timing to compensate for high air flow. Just get on a dyno and do a bit of tuning which is what all modded fd's should be doing
On another note, does anyone have any idea how they make it so that the carbon does not flake off/turn yellow/cloudy or what epoxy they use? Does anyone have this exhaust system which can tell me if it stays nice/retain its nice clear finish? Is it real carbon on the out side of this exhaust? I have a new type of epoxy that has a heat deflection of 180 degrees F and has a new anti UV light protection (protects against the sun from making it cloudy or yellowing) but I doubt it can take the heat from an exhaust system.

Hope this works... If it does i dont know if the quality is good enough. It was a 1 person recording so i had to set the timer and had to guess when it was recoreding or not.
Edit: 3 clips idle, start, rev (kinda)

Wow, that was nice
I like the way it sounds, but with a downpipe and midpipe. I bet the exhaust will be loud. I just do not want to get one if I am going to get pulled over. Anyone know how to rate the loudness from 1 to 10? The Apexi N1 is 6 with a dp and mp. Thanks Tenzo for the clip.

I have the HKS Carbon Ti and the HKS dp, before dp it wasn't all that loud, just deep, after putting on the dp overall noise got a bit deeper, but more louder.
It's not loud like it's going to be heard from miles and miles away, but it'll echo thru a neighborhood and sounds awesome going thru a tunnel.
Performance gains for both mods were also awesome. Top end performed much quicker and with the dp I felt my midrange was better.

I ran a dp, straight mp, and the hks carbon fiber/ titanium tip exhaust for a while and loved it. I don't know how they do the carbon fiber, but it kept it's shine. The only reason I sold it was because I'm getting an all titanium one in the near future. The sound was very quite at idle, the same as in the video, once the turbo's spooled and you were under acc., it was pretty loud, like the guy above said, prob. a 5 out of 10... 1 being stock

Yes, idle is pretty damn quite with my setup as well.
Even slight/partial throttle is fairly quiet, I'd say the loudest is around 3k-4.5k rpms.......
