hi, could anyone tell me why running a high injector duty cycle would burn out a fuel injector/why would holding the injector open burn it out?

i was also wondering if anyone has ever burnt out a fuel injector because of running it at too high of a injector duty cycle. it seems like everyone always seems to run too lean and detonates before burning out their fuel injectors.

also, does anyone have any idea or experience of what happens if you happen to burn out a injector. would it cause you to run lean and pop your engine/detonate immediately?
