Anyone Comtec BeTime 328??

I have a Comtec BeTime 328 but i cant find anything what so ever on it. Is there any chance anyone can help me. I can tell from the device that it’s a turbo timer but i don’t know its functionality or capabilities.

I personally haven't heard of it, so I'm pretty sure it's not very common in the US.

In any case, turbo timers in general have little use on the FD. Our turbos are water cooled, so as long as you don't drive your car aggressively during warmup and cooldown the timer does no real good.

if you can get it to work, its a cheap fan timer.

I thought our turbos were both water and oil cooled. At least I thought I read that somewhere here..... I could definetly be wrong though...

oil and water cooled, you are correct. A turbo timer is still needed if you boost it hard, and then immeidatly shut down. If you boost it hard, you should drive it at normal cruising speeds, avoiding boost, for a good 5-7 min or so to give it time to cool down. Then, IMO, its safe to shut it down.

Which of course would be idiotic since it's bad for the engine too. I guess I stand corrected - a turbo timer is useless unless you drive like an idiot.

I dont think its completely useless, although I will agree it is mostly a novelty. Mine has a voltmeter (among other things)!

probably a bad idea to run any high performance vehicle really hard, and shut it down immediatley. regardless of whether or not it has turbos, and whether or not they are water or oil cooled.

Dave

Or dont feel like cruising around or waiting for it to cool down/leaving it on before getting out and going inside to take a ****....
