ANYBODY PUT TOGETHER A CUSTOM MADE CAT BACK EXHAUST??
hey guys, i'am planning on fabricating my own custom made catback exhaust, there is a place in my area that sells the cannister/muffler for 230 bucks, the guy says that it is free flowing. Now i have the downpipe and midpipe, so now what i'am going to do is have the pipe that attaches to the cannister/muffler to be 4inches thick. Well that be a good catback exhaust?? I would like to fabricate my own, anybody else do this? I sure dont want to spend a thousand dollars for a catback system.

My friend just did it on his MR2. He bought an HKS Ti universal muffler. We went to our muffler shop and had it piped. The good thing about doing this is that you can get stainless steel for ur piping. As far as a muffler with no brand, I might question how long it will hang around, and how nasty it might sound.
A good cat back system that is cannister style is the Blitz NurSpec, hardly close to $1000, actually it'll be about $400 shipped to you I think. It's got stainless piping too.
Hope that helps.
