im looking for a jdm cluster of the spirit r tipe A version specifically the tach because im looking for the jdm look and that 6 o clock needle just has it and baklits in red/orange so it will be a prefect mach if anybody know where can i find one of these let me know

that speedo sucks 180 kph max...................

that works out to be 111.85 mph

I go faster than that on freeway on ramps.

 

yeah the style of lettering is cool, but who wants a 180 kph speedo? The mazdaspeed 300 mph speedo is sweet. I never understood why you would want to go to kph in the states anyway? unless your going for that JDM look, which in this case is just stupid. oh well.

 

id get the whole thing just for the tach..even if i have to have the kph speedo too..for the tach, its worth it..

tach different story, plus I am not trying to say he or anyone else is wrong, just that I don't see why? The tach is a good reason. The speedo would bother me.

 

check with the Austrailian form. They may have some junk yards with JDM 6'o-clock tach's.

 

Jack, what's that place all about? That is a good idea. just like Dale did. then you need to figure out the green backlight vs red thing. I wonder if Dale figured something out, or scratched the red off like the write-up that was on here.

 

It's a place where the UK guys help each other out (when we beat on them too hard) if you can find a helpful bloke sometimes they can locate hard to find things we can't get in the US. Like a passenger side door handle off a right hand drive. They can be a little pricey so it depends on how bad you want something. Jack

Since there are no REAL answers yet...

1) That's a Spirit R cluster. I'll get one for you...for about a grand - give or take a few hundred $$s lol. Dunno anyone who's willing to pay that kind of dough though.

2) The speedo may read up to 180 kmph, but you can easily take the speedo to a speedo shop and have it recalibrated to read in mph. All of a sudden, you have the same speedo, but the 180 actually reflects mph.

And no, you won't find these tachs in junkyards. ANYTHING that's from a Spirit R ends up on foreign auctions only (99.99% of the time), and goes home to the highest bidder, no questions asked.

i think a grand is to much for the tach only..maybe for the whole cluster for a grand ill buy the complete mazdaspeed cluster,but im not saying no,anyway where are you located?
let me know the exact price or maybe tell me where i can find it or buy it.

Yeah, "www.yahoo.co.jp" auction had couple of those tach for sell. I go there to find some JDM goodies.

 

i try to search in the yahoo japan auctions site but only thing i found is a set of spirit r badges maybe you could copy and paste the link to the tach.
