They are getting pretty scarce in Wisconsin, but there were probably only a hundred here to begin with. Mine was bone stock for 7 or 8 years until I put in a boost gauge. Then I finally got tired of baking from the heat of the precat and put in a downpipe. Next week I will install a Racing Beat catback.

When people ask me what kind of car it is, I tell them it is a brand new Hundai.

(I also have a '98 Vette, so I can tell you that the RX7 is more fun to drive, but it doesn't get noticed quite as much as the Vette.)

That's odd. Vettes are a dime a dozen here and no one notices them anymore. (My friend has a Z06)

WOW! I wish it was that low for me. I pay 230 a month for mine! That is with no tickets or wrecks. Plus I am in the military so I get a discount. I think the fact I am 20 kills me! I love my FD so there is no way I could get rid of it over something like insurance. It is to important to me, hence why the girl friend hates it

i have about 4 friends that drive fd's here in Austin Texas, so including mine that is 5 i see everyday. I see some other ones driving around, for example i saw a green one and a red one yesterday that i have never seen before. so they are around you just gotta look for them.

Thomas

On a side note one of the guys I ran into that drove the green one, i walked up to him in taco bell and i said " Hey bro nice fd" and he looked at me like what the hell are you talking about, so then i said "nice rx7" and he goes ohhhh yeah thanks. (idiot)
I just think if you have a very rare car that few people own you should know a little bit about it. maybe it is just me.

FDs have similar stying to the c5 corvette, viper, and the older miatas.

i'll have to agree.. corvettes don't get noticed at all...

i look them over when im stopped at a light... but to compare how much better fd's look

there's just no "wow" factor to corvettes. how can i be wowe'd by a car i see 4 times my first 5 min out of my driveway each day.

not 2 mention that all corvettes look the same, and the only people that i see drive them are chugging down the street at 30mph and are balding, in their mid 40's or 50's, either that or soccer moms.

well after looking at your sig i see why, very nice!

And yea this rx7 that i just bought was the 1st time ever seeing one, so im the only one around here with an fd,

but yea mine has 62K miles on it and the only thing that was done to it was the new seals and the hoses were switched to silicone but thats it.

and u guys think u have it bad with ins, mine is 465 a month!! and i have no tickits at all!

With the FD, you get performance, styling... & the exotic car feeling of 'no one owns this buty me' thing. I LOVE IT!

My paint job sucks (as I just bought the car) & it still turned heads while it was being trailered home & sitting in the driveway being worked on... with a Corvette... you see it & go... "another Corvette"... with an FD... most people go... "holy ****... I don't know what it is... but I want one"
Well, it might not be good to call the vette ugly, b/c the C5 design is almost a direct rip-off of the FD.

Just put to side-view pics side by side and there are not many differences

Here in Escondido, you will never ever see an FD, my friend is probably the only one in Escondido to actaully own one.

Only see a few FC's here...
