The resonated center section works, but overall noise really depends on what kind of cat-back you have. If you have the Apex'i N1-dual, then forget it, you will definitely draw attention. Don't know about the GReddy PE though.

I have the Racing Beat/RSR single tip and it is quiet at idle and cruising with the SRX7 resonated center section. But when I get on throttle and the flow starts to overcome the muffling effect of the resonated section, it gets loud, in an aggressive and nice way. I think the resonated section prevents exhaust notes from sounding 'tinny', also to quieten down the sound at low exhaust flow.

Overall I'd recommend it, only if you do not have a loud cat-back already.

how much louder is a 7 when there is a midpipe in it as opposed to just a DP and main cat?

Arrow I gave it a try

Friend let me borrow his to see how loud it really was. Had the Bonz DP, Mid Pipe, Dual N1 Apexi cat back.

To get an idea, go start a gas operated lawnmower and stick you head one inch from the exhaust, that is what it sounded like at about 10 feet away. It was too much. And talk about some loud backfires, nothing to stop them. Like a hand grenade gonig off or something.

I had the Bonz Cat so that dropped the Db quite a bit. I also have the baffles for the Dual N1. Don't like to use them since they drop the hp due to back pressure but I haven't had any complaints yet. Does sound good when you get one it all the way. Just at idle, sounds like a poor running lawn mower.

I have the SR Motorsports straight midpipe and their CB exhaust and when I'm out everyone says my car got louder when the MP was put on, but is still really quiet. I don't get it. I think I sound like an F1 when I have the roof opened up going underneath bridges.

Damn I love that sound. Or when I'm downtown between tall buildings with the windows rolled down.
