I know for a fact that the responses in this thread is the reason Skip didnt mass market it to the public. Once the cat was out of the bag, he was not going to be able to charge $500 for the thing.

What i'd do (if this works) is get this thing, install a water injection system and goto RP and have chris tune the hell out of it(providing that he would tune with this product) and come back home with one bitchin 7 that could run 20psi on 92octane instead of having to use $4-6 race fuel. But if it didnt work i'd probably just not get it, do the exact same thing and pay $4 a gallon for gas. I'm hoping the first will work out.

This was my thinking also, you beat me to it. This could easily be done with wiring a pressure switch to interact with another switch to disable the trailing spark under load. There you go the best of both worlds and it cost what 50-60 bucks and you still pass emissions. Hell with Mazda's knowledge of this trailing spark issue and trying to keep the engine emissions legal, why didn't they program the stock ecu to cut the trailing spark under load?

I'm not sure but I wouldn't think that the trailing spark plug would foul out so quickly under these conditions. Remember 90% of the time our engines are under light loads/cruising. In this situation the trailing plugs would still be operational doing it's job of helping to clean up the combustion for fuel economy/emissions. It's the other 10% (boost situations)that the plugs would be disabled and providing the so-called anti-detination benefits. Also if your still worried about fouling, you could easily run a hotter plug in the trailing position that in general is less prone to fouling.

One thing that really worries me about this plug and having only the leading spark plug doing all the work is the fact that there will be less efficiant combustion. I mean all this unburned fuel which will keep the combustion chamber cool will also cause more carbon build-up from not being burned properly. This could cause more carbon build-up problems in the long run.

well that is how things go...like buying a used car...except that a used car salesmen only feigns ignorance. between batbrain and this guy posting nonsense based on NO EXPERIENCE or from a sales angle...it only makes me more skeptical.
when someone with actual KNOWLEDGE of these vehicles comes along with pics, dyno sheets, comparisions, and first hand knowledge based on extensive tests (im so tired of the rotary community being had) then I will listen. If Jason and SPO/kan does the test and it is all straight...Id listen.

It says a lot about how Steve has no real answers it shows it's not his idea.

Steve told me he is not going to respond to this thread until a few of us test the plugs and have some data to back it up.
I have no special interest in this device. Steve called me and asked if I wanted to test it. I know I wouldnt be able to sell it for $450 and if it does work it would hurt my service business, so if it doesnt pan out I dont really care.
