another premix question.

I am currently running 1:100 ratio premix with my working OMP just for safety. I have heard 2 stroke oil tend to settle to the bottom of the tank? By adding 2 stoke oil with gasoline, will it change the octane level? Should I only put 2 stoke in the car only when I top off the tank? Is 1:100 ratio too much for using the OMP pump?

Thanks

Yes 2 stroke will seperate. It doesn't bond with the gas so it will always settle out eventually.

If the OMP works then why spend the money on premix?? 1:100 is pretty strong especially with the OMP, but it shouldn't do anything except smoke some.

If I was you I would just use the OMP and maybe when I tracked the car, as it looks from your sig, then I might put some in it just for the extra lubrication, but IMO there is no real need for it if the OMP is working.

you should probably be running more like 4 oz to each time you fill the car up if you just want to add to the protection. If you OMP is working there really isnt much reason to premix as much as you are. I run a stand alone ecu, so my omp is not hooked up and i only run a 1:128 ratio with no problems.
