It looks to me like all you are trying to do is gain more business by causing more negative publicity for Pineapple Racing.

If Rob at Pineapple Racing is treating his customers badly, they will go elsewhere. But would they consider an engine builder who is bad mouthing another shop? Speaking badly about another business is not a good way to build more business( Just doing the right thing is). It just makes you look bad.
Wrong Pal,
When I see something that I think is unethical or feel like commenting on, I will. I might add I also give props to other engine builders when I agree and have actually sent them business...I call it like I see it. I don't make my comments in order to get "business" I could care less.
I also find your logic quit stupid...
People who don't build engines can speak their mind freely but someone who builds motors needs to be quiet? Brilliant ...
I see you are also putting in your two cents? Why don't you just keep your ignorant remarks to yourself...

No, you don't get it clown. Mr RX-7 TT does not NEED business. He's built/ported well over 200 12A & 13B motors & has NEVER had one returned . He perfoms engine building as a HOBBY. Even as a hobby, he has more business than he cares to take, but does it to help friends & others having a tough time with their rotaries (as a fellow enthusiast).

If an honest assesment of someone's engine build execution hurts, then too bad. Mr. RX-7 TTs commentary/input is no less valid than anyone else's on this forum. In fact, I'd be inclined to think that building motors for over 22 yrs would tend to lend him more credibility than some 3rd party who has ZERO experience in building/porting/supercharging/turbocharging/adding Nitrous Oxide to the platform.

Yeah, I would agree on which part is being cryoed. If it's like the front cover, what's the point? However, for high wear item, yes, there is some benefits, in theory at least to cryo treating.

As for now, however, only cutting blades and brake rotors have been shown to benefit from cryo treatment.

If you build motor as a hobby for the love of it, then hell yes, put in your 2 cents cause who cares about repeat customers.

wow, this thread has grown out of control

as for the mr.stock, mr tt arguement, forums are for open discusion the fact that this thread is titled "am i the only fd waiting for an motor from pineapple" thats already bad publicity, and im sure that the other customers who are also experiencing or have experienced who have expressed their thoughts is also bad publicity, just becuase mr tt agrees with these ppl doesnt mean he trying to create business for himself

well if you read the entire thread, i was simply asking why it was taking so long to get my motor in the first place, i only updated this thread with my experience 1500 miles later, that it was indeed bad and the waiting process was going to be repeated

i just wanted to meet other people who were in my shoes so i could share the excitement, i've said many positive things about pineapple racing, joel, rob golden, etc. it is unfortunate that the focus of the discussion has declined to name calling and bashing, although, again, i do appreciate the advice and comments of others, however constructive or destructive their intentions may be

Brian, i know that you do not mean to malign pineapple in all of this but you might want to check this out:

http://www.doj.state.or.us/FinFraud/welcome3.htm

im not sure if thats exactly but im looking for, but here in georgia there is facility for making complaints against a company for not following through with the services that are supposed ot be rendered. if nothing else filing a complaint would surely get their attention and likely help get this settled for you.

it sounds to me that some kind of action would be warranted based on what you say is the treatment you have been geting.

How do you generally prove fraud? You need intent. Intent can be inferred by the circumstances.

Where is the intent to defraud Bryan? Did he give Bryan a collection of rusted parts and called it a stage 3 motors? Nope, as Bryan attested to it.

So there is no intent nor do the facts infer fraud.

For the last time, this is a consumer dispute, not a fraud case. Fraud is usually a criminal act with the penalty being jail time.

SO FOR THE LAST TIME, Will you people refrain from besmirching Pineapple's name with the term FRAUD?

you obviously misunerdstood the intent of my post, it surely wasnt intended to put pineapple in a bad light. fraud doesnt mean that they gave him something he didnt ask for, and it may sound like a very strong term, but if they refuse to honor a warranty that they sold him, it can be actionable through what i would assume would be that government office. while it can be argued that the final decision of a warranty is, as stated by pineapple, their discretion, but if all care is taken by the owner, all guidelines are followed and pineapple stops communicationg and apears to not want to honor their warranty some action should be taken - without channels to raise questions such as this there would be no reason for them to ever honor their warranty.

just to make this completely clear - this is not a question of pineapples motors or what was recieved, but rather of their warranty and possible failure to honor it. i may have found the wrong office, or possibly linked to the wrong section to file this type of complaint, but the fact remains that there is a place to start in oreder to get this settled, and that could possibly be worth a look. you did notice that it said "financal fraud/consumer protection " at the top right?

After your first notice of an attemped delivery, you will get at least two more notices with the return date on them. At least that's how we do it in Harrisburg.

I'm shocked this hasn't been resolved yet, growing up in a family where my father ran and owned two businesses I can say that this is amazing. 93BlackFD
I hope you get your motor back and running out of all of this. I know if my father ran his companies like this they wouldn't exist, this should have been settled quick to avoid all the bad press about PR. There is no excuse for the way you've been run around, bad business practice on PR's part.

EDIT: On a side note, this should still be reported to the BBB, its there job to fix this kind of stuff by talking to the company, just explain in your complaint that PR is reluctant to acknowledge their warranty.

Its just odd that PR will treat a customer this way knowing that they will and probably already have lost thousands of dollars worth of business over a rebuild.

Yes, it's a mystery to me.

It's the same way with me. Say I build you an engine, and you take it out and blow it up pretty soon thereafter. Say i determine it is not my fault and I should not warranty it (worse case scenario). IT makes sense for me to help the person out however I can, even though I shouldn't have to, simply because other people see that as bad press on me, even though it may not have been my fault.

ehh, i'm choosing not to disclose the contents of the letter online, i have to cover my interests in this matter as well...

but i have found me a good core motor and i plan to take matters into my own hand (build it myself) and hope to have my car on the road before february- as usual with me, expect a full write up pictorial of my progress

after your car seizes on the interstate and you're faced with out to get over and safely off the road, you tend to distrust anyone else touching your car- or your motor
