I'm one of the lucky owners of the Pineapple pulley setup. All I can say is that the quality is top notch. I had no idea that they stopped making them. I'll drop Rob an e-mail if you guys would like.

CJ <--good friend of Robs :)

Good quality product, but mine at least does not quite follow the original belt path.

Clearance required some grinding on the bottom of the t-stat housing.

pp13bnos 08-31-08 07:39 PM

I had one of the first ones, maybe that why I didn't have to shave any off of the housing. The belt is close, but by no means close enough to touch.

Jared you still go to the meetings? CJ

blizzaga 09-04-08 12:28 AM

I don't know of this is correct but I did see the idler pulley kit for sale...if these are not it....my bad:hahaha:

BTW...can the pineappleracing idler pulley kit rev up to 9k rpm without slippage constantly?

pp13bnos 09-04-08 08:26 AM

Yes, they are for sale again. Rob found a guy who could do the machining for cheaper. He was going to wait to put the word out until the wooden boxes that they where to come in where finished. But if you must have them, they are available. CJ

blizzaga 09-04-08 04:26 PM

Yup yup, emailed him yesterday and he told me that they are definitely backup for sale!

FDSeoul 09-04-08 05:21 PM

Wooden boxes? Wow do they gift wrap them too... I must say though it looks like a clean install. It definitly looks like it'll work with my single turbo.

FDSeoul 09-04-08 05:29 PM

single-T guys this is a must!!!!!!!!

darkside7 09-04-08 06:09 PM

how much are they selling for?

FDSeoul 09-04-08 06:12 PM

179 plus shipping

pp13bnos 09-04-08 06:17 PM

$179 is the intro price. After that they go up to $249.

For an additional price, I'm sure Chris at Pineapple would gift wrap them too. :) CJ

Hmmm... do I smell a group buy.

FDSeoul 09-04-08 06:48 PM

:) Rob @ pineapple stated that the second gens are much better then their original version. ie: better material and cnc machining with some eye appeal. I cant wait till they can ship these out.

From Rob to me earlier this week.

CJ, it took almost 1 1/2 to sell 20 kits, so I did not make more. Enough guys had been asking about them so I decided to make more.
Sorry to say, but nicer than the kit you bought. They are on the website. I found a machinist who was better and less expensive. Comes
with stainless fasteners. I am having a nice wooden box made for them. Retail:$249, Intro price $179. I was waiting for a full announcement
for when I had the wooden boxes, but if someone needs one now, I will sell kits.

From the man himself. :)

FDSeoul 09-04-08 08:34 PM

+1^^^

blizzaga 09-04-08 09:48 PM

What pp13bnos said is indeed true, I just talked to him on the phone and it's pretty sad that he just broke even last year selling 20 kits. It's good that he's selling it now though and if I were you guys I'd get them because again what he said intro price is $179.00 and won't be that price for long. Well I purchased one for myself today :) ** Also Rob did say that he doesn't have the stainless steel fasteners yet but he'll ship em right when he gets them for people who do buy it now.

silentblu 09-05-08 12:01 AM

blizzaga 09-05-08 05:09 PM

The FD idler kit does indeed come with a belt. Its perfect with stock pulleys but if you have aftermarket pulleys then I'd suggest you give rob a call and tell him exactly what you have.

FDSeoul 09-10-08 07:50 PM

just received my shipment enjoy the picture!!!! the choice of material and attention to detail is mind blowing. It does come with a belt!!!!

Anodizing can easily be done at home with basic knowledge of electrochemistry. I want one of those kits!

KaiFD3S 09-11-08 02:56 PM

So how do you order if you are running the whole underdrive pulley set..Crank, Aleternator and Waterpump, no P/S and no A/C..

FDSeoul 09-11-08 03:36 PM

Kaifd3s--- this bolts where you used to have the Airpump located.

LOL...I know that part, what I mean is how do I let him know the size of the belt that I need since I am running all Underdrive pulleys...

lol I THOUGHT SO MAN!!! Ask for Rob and mention the type of pulley set you are running. they might have the size of the belt in stock. Other then that standard set will come with the size to fit OEM pulleys.

KaiFD3S 09-11-08 04:36 PM

Just ordered mine, cant wait...

KaiFD3S 09-11-08 04:37 PM

Yeah, he said it comes with standad belt so I will have to try to source out a belt, not a big deal...

FDSeoul 09-11-08 06:16 PM

18 bucks!!!!!! you'll love the tinny rotary marks on the pulley. I know i duuuuuuuuuuu

ANYONE!!! have install or updates???????????? feed back

Stix37867 10-07-08 06:36 PM

Well i just installed mine with the Greddy pullies i already have and after doing some measuring, i found the a 44" belt worked great. The one that comes with it is a 42" btw.

I put in a Gatorback, for instance, and the part number is 4050440. About 20 bucks. You can also use the 4050435 but is a VERY tight fit to get on but isn't too tight once on.
